On Thursday, January 12th, 2023, I stayed at Lake Taupo. Lake Taupo (Lake Taupō) is a crater lake in New Zealand's North Island. It's the largest lake in all of New Zealand. There is a town in the area called Taupō.
At Lake Taupō one can boat, kayak or do other water spots. While at one of the freedom camping spots, someone was kind enough to let me go out on their kayak for a while, alone.
Visiting lake Taupō helps to further see and understand New Zealand. It's a massive lake with sports and relaxation to offer.
