Background
On Saturday, January 21st, 2023, I went to Castlepoint Lighthouse to camp. From here there is a 30 minute hike from the parking lot up to the top of Castle Rock. Although this is not a maintained hike and is quite steep, it offers commanding views of the area. At the top, I fly a drone for an even better perspective.
Near the lighthouse, you can see seals on the rocks. At night, the lightouse is lit up with fading colored lights. It's located on the East Coast so many people go out before sunrise to take photos of the lighthouse in the early morning.
