Impression
Dettifoss waterfall is the most powerfull waterfall in all of Europe. The water comes from the Vatnajökull glacier.
The waterfall creates massive sprays of mist and is extremely powerful. Dettifoss is 144 feet (44 meters) high and 330 feet (100 meters) wide.
There are two viewing points of Dettifoss, one on each side of the waterfall. The one photographed here required a long drive on a dirt road.
During my time at Dettifoss, it was very windy. This made it a bit dangerous to get too close to the edge. The waterfall is loud and impressive, worth the journey to it in my opinion.
