On Sunday, September 6th, 2020, I went on a hike to Colorado's Hangerman Tunnel. The hike was 6.2 miles and took a little over 3 hours with a break to eat. The hike consists of a loop that goes by 2 lakes. It also goes by the remains of a ghost town called Douglass City.
Overall, this is an easy hike with a very low elevation gain with view of mountains, lakes and a historic trail tunnel. Getting to the trailhead may require a 4WD vehicle. See the AllTrails directions for more details.
