Background

On Saturday, July 31st, 2021, I went on a tour of Upper Antepole Canyon through Antelope Canyon Tours. They had opened up only 3-weeks before the tour to the public due to pandemic concerns. I took the tour from 7:50AM to 9:20AM, after tax it cost $92.08. I booked the only available tour during the time I was in the area.

Antepole Canyon is a slot canyon on Navajo land near Page, Arizona. It offers unique views of rock formations from the light that comes into the canyon. Many locals will say that the tour around 11AM provides better light into the canyon. If I were to do this tour again in the summer, I would book at that time.

It can be difficult to take good photos due to the low lightning in the morning. Having a wide angle lens also helps to take better pictures.

Overall, Antepole Canyon is an amazing place to visit for its unique formations. The intricate shapes in the canyon are unlike anything I've seen before.
