Impression

I flew from Fairbanks to Coldfoot, Alaska, which is North of the Arctic Circle, on April 21st, 2017. The flight was about an hour and there was only the pilot, myself and one other passenger on the plane. I flew in a mail plane to Coldfoot, where I ate lunch for about an hour. From there, I was driven to the Arctic Circle and then to the Yukon River where I ate dinner. The drive took about 7 hours and you get to see a lot of the vast and desolate Alaska.

I did this trip with Northern Alaska Tour Company. There were no other people on the drive from Coldfoot to the Arctic Circle so I had a private tour. There were about a dozen people on a bus that drove up and back to the Arctic Circle that I joined. The road you go on is the Dalton Highway, the road featured in the TV series Ice Road Truckers.
