On Sunday, February 17th, 2019 I hiked Amboy Crater while on the way from Mojave National Preserve to Joshua Tree National Park. Amboy Crater is an extinct cinder cone type of volcano. From the top of the crater rim, there are commanding views of the surrounding area.
