On Sunday, January 22nd, 2023, I visited the Cape Palliser Lighthouse on New Zealand's the West Coast of the North Island. The lighthouse is high up on a rock, requiring climbing up over 200 stairs. Once at the top, there is a view of the area. I stayed nearby at the Ngawi Surf Breaks Freedom Camping spot. Many people go to this camping spot to surf. While the weather was clear, it was possible to see the South Island.
