Background

On Friday, August 19th, 2022 I took a tour from Split to Dubrovnik starting at 7AM. To get to Dubrovnik from Split required going through part of Bosnia. Therefore, it was needed to have a passport to get there.

Once in Dubrovnik, there was a 1.5 hour walking tour to learn the history of the area. Afterwards, we were free for 3 hours to explore. I decided to walk to walls of a castle, which required paying for a ticket to do so. It took about 1 hour to walk the entire wall. We returned to Split at 8PM.

Dubrovnik is very touristy but it is one of the first places people mention when they talk about Croatia. It has been used in TV series for its unique landscape. There are many hills and unique food, one can get drinking water from many water fountains. It is worth visiting, if even just for a day.
