Ryan Mountain

Background

I decided to hike Ryan Mountain in California's Joshua Tree National Park on both Sunday, February 17th, 2019 and Monday, February 18th, 2019. I first decided to go up Ryan Mountain for sunset. It was snowing while going up the mountain and moreso when I was at the summit. I stayed at Ryan Campground next to the mountain. In the morning, right at sunrise, I hiked the mountain again so that I could see the surroundings which were obscured by the snow clouds. It is rare for it to snow on Ryan Mountain and I was able to see before, during and after what impact it had. The summit offers amazing views of the park.
