Background
On the way from Joshua Tree to Los Angeles, California on Monday, February 18th, 2018, I decided to visit the Salton Sea. At one time, Salton Sea was a thriving town but now many homes are unoccupied and the sea has receded. There are dead fish bones around the sea. The area has a post-apocalyptic vibe.
During my walk next to the sea paramotorists began flying over and around me. They were an unexpected surprise and an interesting way to end my 4-day trip.
